Question&Answer: [iDey#13]
Hello MR. LEKKI , I really need your advise.
I met this dude on social media, and we became friends. I love him so much and
I believe he does love me too. But the only issues am having with him is that we
haven’t met in person, and he’s always busy, and he doesn’t call me most times,
and most times when I call him he doesn’t pick. But when he calls me back, he
really makes me believe that he loves me. I really do love him but sometimes I
feel my whole dream of being with him is nothing but a dream. I’m yet to meet
him is person, and I’ve spoken to him severally about these issues, but he
keeps assuring me that we will meet someday, considering we are not in the same
geographic location.
Sometimes, I feel this is more like a
blind date, coz' I need to see him – I know this can be risky sometimes, but that’s
what my heart wants. I don’t know what to do, I really need your advice, should
I end it with him, or keep on with him, coz’ I’m so lonely.
Anny, Lagos .
Thank you Anny from
Lagos . We
appreciate your response. Well the first thing I would say is, since you say
you both are “in-love”, I guess you should give love the chance. Considering
mostly that you met online --- I believe the love is there, but what is
demanded (in most online love-at-first-meet) that I’ve experienced, is the core values of PATIENCE
– I have this other case of two people who fell in love on online dates, one
was in Lagos, Nigeria, the other somewhere South-East Asia (a Nigerian too) –
It took them ‘most 18 months to meet in person, but when they finally met,
everything escalated - and I got the info they’re happily married today.
So I think the
ANTIDOTE is PATIENCE. But that should be based on if you believe the LOVE
exists genuinely - but if not - an assessment could be required to prove if you
could back down as soon as possible - or not.
But as long as the
Love is there, and the communication is going through, with time everything will be fine.
Thank you.
